Freeagent hires veteran as head of sales

Accounting software specialist Freeagent has appointed an industry veteran to help drive sales at the Edinburghbased business.

The firm, which targets its cloud-based accounting products and mobile applications at UK micro-businesses, said it had hired Nick Longden as vice-president of sales to help spearhead growth within its accounting practice division.

Formerly vice-president of fintech, mobile and connected devices at Mobica, Longden has been appointed to his new role after a two-decade long career in the accounting software industry, where he has worked for major companies includingsage,xero,cchand Pegasus.
