Coding classes for children as young as eight

Children as young as eight are being offered the chance to take part in computer coding classes at Lasswade Library.

Programming and associated digital skills are forecast by the government to be in increasingly high demand. Organisers said the code clubs were aimed at inspiring children and young people to get creative with computers.

Lasswade Library is one of several in Midlothian to offer the classes.
