Baillie Gifford fund on the rise

Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon, which is managed by Edinburgh-based funds firm Baillie Gifford, said it had seen “good operational and share price performance” from smaller companies in Japan over the past year.

The company’s net asset value per share – after deducting borrowings at fair value – rose 46.1 per cent for the year to 31 January.
