Ross County

Positives from defeat

-

It might not have felt like it for a large section of the second half, but this was a big improvement on the dismal defeat in Perth a fortnight ago. There was a clear gameplan in place at least. The trouble was that Kilmarnock are the best team in the country without the ball at the moment. County looked like they were growing into the game after losing the first goal, but the second arrived shortly after half-time and put the match to bed.

There’s still plenty for Stuart Kettlewell and Steven Ferguson to work on. I’m happy that they are at the helm; no-one else knows the club better than they do and the work it takes to get out of this situation. But they can beat Hamilton on Saturday and start looking upwards again.
