Lionel Messi scored the fastest goal of his career last night to help eliminate Chelsea from the Champions League.

The Barcelona superstar slipped the ball through the legs of visiting goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois just two minutes and eight seconds into the second leg of the last-16 clash at the Nou Camp.

Messi scored another in the second half – his 100th goal in the Champions League and, again, through the legs of Courtois – as Barcelona won 3-0 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate.

They go into tomorrow’s quarter-final draw alongside Bayern Munich, Sevilla, Roma, Manchester City, Liverpool, Juventus and Real Madrid.
