Dumbarton Froxy dilemma

Saturday summed up our recent goal drought. A chance from the penalty spot and the ball was blazed high and wide over the target. Tuesday night was more positive and I don’t think it’s any coincidence that we created chances and scored a goal (!) with a more attacking line-up. No prizes for guessing who scored our first league goal this year – a terrific finish from “Froxy”.

Unfortunately, his good form brings the news that he has been called up to play for Cyprus the same weekend as the Challenge Cup final. You’d think the Cypriot FA would see sense and let the man play in a cup final instead of potentially making a five minute cameo in a friendly. It’s put him in a difficult position but, hopefully, we’ll see him in Perth next week.
