Theresa May announced that 23 undeclared Russian intelligen­ce officers would be given a week to leave the UK. Tributes have poured in after world-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking died at his home in Cambridge aged 76. @Gemmaannes­tyles said: “How sad to lose such an incredible mind – what a brilliant man.” @Ruddy_muddy added: “More sad news. #DOGDEATH

Sophia Ceballos was travelling on a United Airlines flight with her mother, baby brother and Kokito, her French bulldog puppy. Kokito died during the trip after a flight attendant instructed the family to stow him in an overhead locker. “He was a member of our family,” Sophia said afterwards. “He was like my brother to me.” @jim_fram said: “United just keeps on with that great customer service.” @Vmunster2 added: “This is so sad and wrong!” @Prebeccak added: “I hope no one flies with you, you’ve lost my business forever.”
