The Glasgow University research into Scottish child poverty paints a bleak picture of Scotland in 2018 with child poverty rife in many areas and as high as 55 per cent in the Renfrewshire area.

The SNP, over the last 11 years, have made many promises to reduce child poverty in Scotland but their efforts have been completely ineffective, with child poverty actually increasing by 4 per cent since 2016 in Scotland. DENNIS FORBES GRATTAN
