Battleground

In the event that the final decision is to go ahead with the development approved, I would suggest The original decision to allow 16 homes to be built on the edge of Culloden Battlefield cannot be reviewed, the Scottish Government has confirmed. an observer with historical knowledge be present during all excavations carried out by the developers. In the event human remains are unearthed, planning permission should be immediately revoked and all the land left in perpetuity as part of the battle site and designated a war grave.

John Cameron Oddly the Scottish Government has no trouble reviewing and overturning many other planning decisions when it suits them.

Deebee Revoke any and all building permission anywhere near these war graves. Could you imagine Americans building homes at Arlington? No developer would be stupid enough to even suggest it.

RJS So wrong to build on/ near war graves. Perhaps the street will be called Cumberland Way or Butchers Row.
