All to play for in the battle to avoid drop

- By

The final three BT Premiership regular season matches take place today with four of the six clubs in action still in danger of finishing in one of the bottom two spots.

Marr, Hawick, Glasgow Hawks and Boroughmuir have it all to play for and by 5pm we will know who has been automatically relegated, who will face a relegation play-off match in April with the runners-up from BT National League Division One and who will be safe to fight another day in the top flight.

At Fullarton Park, Marr know they will finish ninth or tenth. However, if they can defeat mid-table Stirling County with a bonus point and Hawick lose their match then the men from Troon could complete the great escape andatleastgivethemselves a chance in a play-off.

For this one Marr have had a USA international, an Italian cap and an All Black released by Glasgow Warriors. Greg Peterson will be in the second-row, Samu Vunisa in the backrow and Lelia Masaga on the wing.

Hawick, in ninth, welcome Melrose to Mansfield Park. Earlier in the season the Greens looked dead and buried, but they have partially turned it around and a win would see them safe unless there is a very high scoring draw in the Glasgow Hawksboroughmuir game.

Eighth plays seventh as Hawks entertain Boroughmuir. Both teams are on 30 points and will be giving everything they need respectively to stay away from ninth place.

Brian Alainu’uese of the Warriors plays his first game for Hawks while Muir have Dale Robertson and Matt Walker back in the pack.
