Sandfest

- Fiona Shepherd Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, tomorrow, 0141-353 8000

Sandfest started life as a fundraising party for Down’s Syndrome Scotland in musician Douglas Mcintyre’s back garden before becoming an annual event held in Sandford village hall in South Lanarkshire. This year’s edition goes big at the Royal Concert Hall with an enviable line-up of Mcintyre’s Glasgow pop peers, including The Bluebells, above, Clare Grogan, Justin Currie, James Grant and Grahame Skinner of the recently reformed Hipsway, plus Still Game’s Sanjeev Kohli as compere and a performance by Ups and Downs Theatre Group Choir, comprising children and young adults with Down’s syndrome and their siblings.
