Wildlife Photographer of the Year
Nature is illuminated in all its fullness, from ants to elephants, in the winning entries to the most prestigious competition of its kind in the world, on show at the National Museum of Scotland until April. The images have been chosen from nearly 50,000 entries, with the standard higher every year. The stories of what the photographers did to capture their images – swimming in a frozen ocean, spending three days disguised as a bush – accompany the pictures.
