May or May not?

-

Leading Conservatives exhort us to get behind Theresa May as our Prime Minister. Why? Mrs May, as a member of David Cameron’s Cabinet, supported bringing forward a

totally unnecessary referendum. The only reason for holding a referendum was that the Conservative Party was running scared of Ukip winning key seats from them at the forthcoming General Elecand

tion. It is also worth remembering that it was Theresa May who picked the team who managed to make such an embarrassing disaster of the UK’S negotiating position.

Next thing, mrs may, in order to secure her position, called the 2017 General Election. This rebounded on her; the Conservative Party lost its Parliamentary majority.

Is this the person to take the nation forward at such a critical time?

It seems logical to me that as the Conservative Government got us into this mess, then it should be the Conservative Government, and they alone, who should get us out of it.

As for the rest of us, we can only enjoy watching Mrs May’s party wriggle on the hook of their own making.
