Nicola Sturgeon is “disappointed” by the vote to scrap a controversial law aimed at tackling sectarianism at football.

“Nicola Sturgeon ‘disappointed’.” But nowhere near as disappointed as Scotland is with Nicola Sturgeon.

Another flagship piece of legislation in the bin.

That pesky democracy, eh! Always getting in the way.

Ulcerating Soon

Sectarianism at Old Firm games probably gives the fans a chance to deflect their attention from the standard of football they are being over charged to watch. I caught the “highlights” of Ross County vs Killie the other night – a good argument for taking up knitting.

It might be poor legislation, but it’s SNP poor legislation so of course she’ll defend it.

Spooked

Paul Mclean

This piece of legislation wasn’t an attack on sectarianism - sectarianism is widespread in Scotland beyond the football stadiums. It was an attack on the working classes, the very people who helped the SNP get a large number of their own folk into the Scottish Executive.

World Wide Football Fan

So why not make a real effort in ridding ourselves of this vile behaviour – attack it at its roots – de-segregate our schools.
