The Durrells

It’s sunshine all the way on Sunday evenings on STV as the popular family drama The Durrells returns with Keeley Hawes as matriarch Louisa leading her troublesome tribe in 1930s Crete.

The eight-part series, written by Simon Nye and based on Gerald Durrell’s trilogy of books, sees Louisa give up searching for love, choosing instead to focus on her family. However, with Larry (Josh O’connor) struggling to write his third novel, Margo (Daisy Waterstone) in search of a new vocation, Gerry (Milo Parker) continuing to grow his menagerie and Leslie (Callum Woodhouse) juggling three different girls, Louisa has her work cut out. New faces joining the cast include Miles Jupp, Henry Lloyd-hughes and newcomer Elli Triggou.
