The Secret Helpers

In a new five-part series for BBC2, ten Brits, about to embark on one of the toughest weeks of their lives, wear an in-ear device which allows them to get advice from a panel of worldlywise strangers, including an Irish nun, a traditional healer and her friend from South Africa, a couple of retired cops from New York, two Italian mothers and a Swedish yogi. They watch the person going about their week and hand-hold them towards their significant event. In the first episode Dan, who is recovering from two strokes, needs support to cope with his wedding week, while Brett is a first-time parent of twins.
