Motherwell 0 Celtic 0 /Kipre ‘distraught’ at latest red card
Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson says referee Craig Thomson left Cedric Kipre “distraught” after sending him off for a second time this season in yesterday’s goalless draw with Celtic.
The French defender – sent off in November’s Betfred Cup final, also against Celtic – was red carded in the 41st minute of the Premiership clash at Fir Park after flicking out his foot at Scott Brown after they tumbled to the floor in a challengein which the park head captain had pushed him.
“I have had to put my arm round him because he is distraught,” said Robinson at full-time. “I think everyone in this room knows it wasn’t a sending off.”
