Bomber’s foster mother ‘betrayed’
The foster mother of the Parsons Green bomber has said there is a “small part” of her that still cares about him, despite feeling “very betrayed” by his terrorist plans.
Penny and Ron Jones knew Iraqi asylum seeker Ahmed Hassan as a “lovely lad” who was helpful around the house.
The couple offered him a loving home in Sunbury-on-thames, Surrey.
Hassan, 18, is facing years in jail for attempting to bomb a Tube train at Parsons Green on 15 September, 2017, injuring 51 people.
