Growing worry

-

All this money just being squandered with little or nothing to show for it.

Moultrieman First visit SINCE 2015! That’s less than 3 years ago! The head of Scottish Enterprise is paid over 200k. Why does the FM need to go?

Edmund North Why would the Chinese want to invest in a country where only 37 out of 279 schools manage to get the majority of their pupils to leave with 5 Highers or more? That’s 13 per cent – after 10 years of SNP responsibility for education. Nicola should stay at home and concentrate on this instead of going on a jolly to China where nobody will know – or care – who she is.

Big Scotlander Scottish growth has always been in the same place in relation to UK growth, before and after devolution. We do not have control over key economic factors so it’ll will remain just like this, regardless of who is in power at Holyrood, until we’re either an independent nation making our own decisions or Westminster devolves more powers.

Dunnomuch What are these key economic factors we have no control over you refer to? And why does Sturgeon keep jetting all over the world supporting economic initatives, if she does not have these economic “levers” ? Scotland’s economic performance has ALWAYS been below the RUK. So has Wales’ and Northern Ireland’s. That is what happens to a small country within the UK. Scotland’s economic performance has NOT always been below that of RUK. If we take 2001-2011 Scottish GDP was 4.64% vs UK (inc Scotland) 4.0%. The Nats under Sturgeon and her “inclusive gender balanced” cabinet... MSPS just don’t get business. I mean look at their backgrounds... nearly all politics/social science educations, almost entirely without real work experience .... you get what youvotefor! I think it is caused by businesses losing their bottle a bit because of Brexit. We don’t really know if their But what about austerity! Will they come under pressure along with the other “creatives” to toe the nationalists separatist agenda?

Neverendumdidlydum It’s all about priorities. Forget the economy, forget the roads, ignore the teacher shortage or the chronic state of the Scots NHS. Let’s bail out a theatre group, give everyone a baby box and buy Nicola some new frocks for a trip to China.

Stuart Smith Yet another fatuous report from WWF which shows how desperate they are to sustain their failing manmade global warming scare.
