Hamilton Accies Survival is no surprise

I wasn’t too disappointed with the result on Saturday. It was a “must-win” games for Ross County, so to deny them that and in doing so maintain our eight-point advantage and increase the lead over the Jags and Dundee was pretty good.

Most neutral observers seem to think we are very unlikely to finish bottom, but I’ve seen enough Accies games to know this decent run of form could end abruptly. Even if it does, we have given ourselves an excellent chance of staying up and we must grasp it. If we manage to mess this up we will only have ourselves to blame.

Perhaps we are almost at the stage where the media will stop their repetitive lines about how we’ve surprised them yet again. It shouldn’t be a surprise that we look like staying up – we’ve done it before!
