Body found in loch thought to be pensioner

A body has been found in a loch during a search for a missing pensioner.

Police received a report of a woman’s body in Loch Glashan, near Lochgair in Argyll and Bute, at about 10:45am on Tuesday.

No formal identification has been carried out, however it is believed to be that of Violet Lamb.

The 74 year-old was reported missing from Lochgair on Monday.

Her family has been informed.
