#BREXIT

A group of Brexit-backing politicians took to the River Thames in order to protest Theresa May’s transition deal, which they claim “betrays” the UK’S fishermen. Former Ukip leader Nigel Farage was among protesters who threw dead fish into the Thames outside Parliament. @Alexb_frost said: “Ah, the serious issue that is #Brexit.” @alrightpet added: “At a time when we need the strongest, sanest leadership the nation has seen for decades... we get this.” @willmartin19 stated: “At the risk of sounding like a bore, Haddock is considered vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, so catching a load to just dump back in a river dead is pretty irresponsible from a conservation point of view.”

#TRUMPRUSSIA

US President Donald Trump was reportedly infuriated following a leak that he had been directly instructed by national security advisers not to congratulate Russian President Vladimir Putin on his recent election victory. Mr Trump’s move to congratulate Mr Putin on securing a fourth term in power drew swift criticism. @Frakermonica said: “What has Trump done to stop this? Oh yeah...” @sparkette123 exclaimed: “If there is a leaker they are a patriot. It was implied he probably was told not to do this. Patriots are needed when leaders collude with enemy nations and democracy is at risk.” @Kaliburger added: “His only strategy is to attack Mueller. Trump is the king of ‘propaganda’.”

#ANTANDDEC

Declan Donnelly will present the final two episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway without longtime partner Ant Mcpartlin because they had promised to treat contest winners in the final show. Mcpartlin, 42, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving. @Hylandian stressed: “Could ITV not just have sent the competition winners to Florida anyway? I mean, I’m guessing the families are more bothered about going on a free holiday than appearing on telly. Seems a bit unfair to put all this pressure on Dec.” @inspiringsalons posted: “De cu have fullsu pp ort,u can do this, be strong. @ITV Ant wishing u well.” @chrizzy76 joked, callously: “It’s all gone wrong for Ant since he grew that beard!! I blame the beard!”
