No monkey business: Biodiversity experts gather in Colombia to address policy issues
A two-day-old titi pigmeo monkey hangs playfully from its father in their enclosure at Santa Fe Zoo in the Colombian city of Medellin.
The city is hosting a gathering of the Intergovernmental Science-policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.
The organisation, which looks to protect biodiversity around the world, says its mission is “as important as fighting climate change.” Experts and political leaders at the summit are publishing a series of assessment reports which are designed to inform future global policymaking on the issue.
