China girl

-

Nicola Sturgeon has been urged to avoid another dud business deal with China as she prepares to travel to the Far East next month. And in answer to a question from Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie she said she would challenge China’s human rights record.

As this trip is fully paid for by Scottish taxpayers, we should be given more details beforehand. Is this a human rights mission, a trade mission, an educational trip, a getting to know you trip or just a bloody good jolly for her and her pals?

I hope she brings me back some prawn crackers and a couple of fortune cookies, perhaps also some chicken with fried noodles. She could about manage that – it’s the only Chinese I would let her deal with.

Rennie has every right to ask what she will be doing in China – given that her last visit produced bog all.

Aukd Reekie

Respecting human rights includes the acceptance of the democratic will of the people – something Nicola

Sturgeon is unaware of.
