Viscount Churchill ‘died after a fall’

-

The last Viscount Churchill died after falling over in his London apartment, an inquest heard yesterday.

He was the third member of his family to hold the title but as he had no children, the title died with him.

Described as “fiercely independent”, the 83-year-old had refused to move from his home despite a history of falls.

He received help four times a day from a carer, who found him face down on the floor of his bedroom in Cumberland Mansions in London, where flats sell for millions.
