Cyber boost could help win contracts

British cyber security firms will be boosted by a new strategy aimed at combating the growing threat of malicious hacking attacks.

The plan aims to help UK companies win lucrative contracts to provide security software for states and businesses across the world.

The launch of the Cyber Security Export Strategy today comes amid the rapidly evolving “range of threats from hostile state actors”, the Department for International Trade said. There are 800 cyber security companies in the UK.
