Man charged over steroid smuggling

A Danish man has been charged in the UK over a £30 million international steroid smuggling ring.

Jacob Sporon-fiedler faces a charge of conspiracy to import and export a controlled class C drug.

The 37-year-old, based in Mumbai, India, is due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court today.

His arrest was part of a fouryear National Crime Agency investigation, which has included seizures totalling around £30m. The probe was launched in 2014.
