- By SCOTT REID

PDMS, a software business employing more than 70 people in Glasgow and the Isle of Man, has secured a multi-million-pound contract with Transport Scotland to help deliver concessionary travel services.

The firm will work in partnership with Euclid, which is based south of the Border, to provide analysis, reporting and enable information to allow reimbursement on smart journeys, including national concessionary travel schemes and, potentially, commercial travel.

The cloud-based technology will be a direct replacement for the existing Transport Scotland administration back office system.

The contract is for a fouryear period, with the possibility of two extensions, each of two years. The contract value for the initial four-year period equates to just under £3 million.

David Stickland of PDMS said: “We are delighted to have been selected, together with our partner Euclid, for this major project to replace and enhance the existing [back office] system in Scotland.”
