Dundee Tombola approach
International week is dull enough at the best of times, but when it’s a set of friendlies, it drags on for what seems an eternity. Though I’ve complained about Dundee, who have lost four of their last five games, I’m perversely looking forward to the return of “normal” football.
My main hope is that the break has given Neil Mccann a chance to take stock and settle on his preferred formation and team selection. Like our less fortunate neighbours in the Championship, we’ve suffered from a tombola approach to both which has stunted the growth and development of the team. Eighteen different players have started the last three games. We should have the confidence to stick to our guns rather than constantly making reactive changes in an attempt to hoodwink our opponents.
