- By EMMA NEWLANDS

An organisation representing Scottish firms opposing indyref2 has strengthened its advisory board with the appointment of two prominent entrepreneurs.

Scottish Business UK (SBUK), which was established by care home veteran Robert Kilgour, has appointed Ivor Tiefenbrun, founder of Glasgow audio system specialist Linn Products, and Kevin Hague, chairman of Livingston-based internet retailer M8 Group.

They join Jack Perry, Hugh Andrew, Ian Condie and SBUK chief executive Struan Stevenson as well as SBUK chairman Kilgour.

He said the new additions “bring a wealth of experience to complement existing members”.

Kilgour also called for more pro-union businesses to join the organisation. “We need to reflect the views of business leaders in our cities, towns and villages, alongside the successful global brands borne out of Scotland.”

Tiefenbrun said: “We must make the compelling case for the unique benefits of being within and trading as part of the union.”
