If you’ve ever dreamt of creating your very own grand design on a Scottish island, two building plots for sale on the Inner Hebridean island of Luing might pique your interest.

Luing is one of the Slate Islands off Argyll’s west coast, lying just south of Oban. Its charm lies in its natural beauty and unspoilt peaceful scenery.

The plots for sale have a spectacular setting on the edge of the village of Cullipool. The views are to the west across the Sound of Luing to the Garvellachs, Scarba and the Isle of Mull.

The fully serviced sites have been levelled ready for development and have planning permission for architect-designed houses. Nicky Archibald, of Galbraith, says: “We have witnessed a growing interest for properties on Luing over the past couple of years.

“Many property buyers on the island have first visited as a holidaymaker and have fallen in love with the spectacular scenery and superb lifestyle.”

The two plots are just yards from the shore and moorings are also available. Cullipool is one of two villages on the island.

It is located in the north-west and is made up of white cottages set against the slate that makes up its beach.

Information about local architects and building firms is available from the agent.
