Dog walker left badly injured by group of men
A dog walker has been seriously injured after an attack by a group of men.
The 36-year-old man was walking through a wood near Whistleberry Road and Abbostford Avenue in Hamilton when he was attacked by five men at around 11:30am on Sunday. He was taken to Hairmyres Hospital where he was treated for serious facial and head injuries.
Police are appealing for any information that will help catch those responsible. PC Graeme Stoddart said: “This attack has left a man not only with serious injuries, but also badly shaken.”
