Park bank closure
As another long-standing customer of the Clydesdale Bank I should like to support Mike Mckinnell in his disappointment at the closure of the Davidson’s Mains, Edinburgh branch (Letters, 28 March), especially as it has the advantage of dedicated parking – a boon to those unable to walk very far.
The new George Street branch to which customers are referred has no such facility. The age group for which this could well be important is, of course, that least likely to be into internet banking.
When new and altered buildings have to take account of the needs of the handicapped it would seem appropriate to consider parking when the network of branches is being changed.
