Scotland has all the right ingredients but none of the Government support.
Gordon Parkin If Fiona Hyslop engaged a bit more with her counterparts in the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport she would get all the advice she needed, especially about the film industry but she’s been told to avoid London where possible. A one-woman culture team is unlikely to bring any success for Scotland.

robert By all means invest in all industries, just don’t see the lush green fields of Lothian as the site when so much of our cities are blighted with unused former industrial sites. Use these sites up before encroaching any where near arable land .

oneworld72 How will it ever happen with a minister, Hyslop, who has no clue about the industry? Did she even visit the set of Avengers during the months they were in Edinburgh?
Honeysuckle There was another group who wanted to build a film studio in Inverness a few years ago. That seems to have disappeared in the Highland mist.
