Attempted robbery at takeaway shop

Officers are appealing for information following an attempted robbery at a takeaway food premises in Macduff.

Police were called to Tang’s Chinese Takeaway, Crook O’ness St, at around 9.20pm on Thursday after a man threatened a shop worker before leaving empty-handed.

He was described as white, about 5’8, of slim build, wearing a black jacket and trousers and spoke with a local accent.

Det Sgt Sam Buchan said: “No-one was hurt during and nothing was taken, however the shop worker was obviously shaken.”
