Police launch appeal after ‘child approach’

Police are appealing for information to help establish the exact circumstances of an incident where a man approached a young child in Aberdeen.

Officers received a report of a man in his 30s approaching the youngster who was playing outside a property in the Beach Boulevard area near Brunswick Stores at about 3.10pm on Wednesday.

DC Emma Low said: “The youngster involved was not hurt or affected but his mother felt it was right to contact police to make us aware as she didn’t know for sure what this man’s intentions were.”
