Nine-man Wolves took a giant step towards the Championship title as they survived the dismissal of twoplayerstoclaimvictory at the Riverside.

The visitors played with nine men for 19 minutes after both Ruben Neves and Matt Doherty were sent off for two bookable offences.

Though Patrick Bamford scored in the fourth minute of stoppage time, Boro were unable to claw their way back to level terms, so they remain in the final play-off position on goal difference.
