Ruth Davidson criticises murder case progress

-

Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson has criticised detectives for taking too long to solve one of Edinburgh’s most infamous unsolved murders.

The opposition leader called on officers to “renew their efforts” on today’s anniversary of Louise Tiffney’s remains being found on an estate in Longniddry, East Lothian. Ms Tiffney, 43, vanished from her Dean Village home 16 years ago.

Det Supt Gary Cunningham said the public still had “a vital role to play” in helping to solve the case and urged those with information to come forward.
