Homes set to be built on city brewery site
More than 400 new homes will be built on the site of a former brewery in Edinburgh under city council plans.
The development at Fountainbridge will also include office space and shops, city leaders said.
Work to prepare the site is set to commence early next year, with the site expected to be fully developed by 2025.
Edinburgh City Council owns 4.7 hectares of brownfield land at Fountainbridge, 1.2 hectares of which have already been used to build the new Boroughmuir High School, leaving the remaining land for mixed-use development. It will seek a development partner to deliver more than 400 new homes.
