Let’s go fly a kite: Hundreds gather to reach for the skies at Washington festival

The festival showcases the creativity of kite-makers and the skill of fliers from across the US and other countries through a variety of competitions and demonstrations.

The event includes the popular Rokkaku battle and hot tricks showdown, which are displays of kite flying showmanship.

There will also be youth competitions and sessions during which visitors will learn how to make a kite.
