Motorcycle crash victim named

A motorcyclist who died after a crash in the Scottish Borders has been named.

Police officers said that David Regan was travelling on the A7 between Selkirk and Galashiels when the collision happened at about 12:20pm on Tuesday, 20 March.

His red Kawaskai ZZR 600cc had left the road as it travelled northbound through the Boleside area.

The 54-year-old was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary but died the following Thursday, Police Scotland has confirmed.
