It’s the very nature of having a successful manager that every time a job becomes vacant the press start linking him to it and so it is again with the West Brom job. Most fans are pretty much resigned to these distractions, and they’re happening so frequently they should not be having much effect anymore anyway.

It was nice of ex-motherwell player/coach James Mcfadden to try and help his old team out by popping up in the press to state Derek Mcinnes will accept the West Brom job if offered. With the upcoming cup semi-final against Motherwell his timing and intentions could not be more transparent.

I can only imagine that he has a lot of time on his hands in his role as a Scotland coach so he was free when the journalists called.
