Partick Thistle Defence under pressure

Saturday saw a much-improved Thistle performance but ultimately no points against Hibs. There’s no doubt that three at the back suits players like Adam Barton who is much more comfortable in the heart of the system. But at this stage of the season Thistle have to start finishing the chances they are creating in the attacking areas. Scoring goals takes the pressure off the defence and we haven’t done that enough.

Losing Tomas Cerny during the first half was a blow and Ryan Scully is more than an able deputy but it was a tough night for him and the defence in Dingwall on Tuesday and they will want to put that 4-0 defeat behind them when in-form Kilmarnock visit Firhill at the weekend.
