0 Peckham’s joint owner Andrew Duncan is supporting ‘as many local producers as possible’ Upmarket Glasgow deli/café Peckham’s has taken on new Scottish suppliers as part of a drive to support local producers.

Four deals have been struck in the wake of Scotland’s Speciality Food Show, which was held in Glasgow at the end of January, leading to supply contracts for Peckham’s two stores in the city.

Deals are now in place with three businesses in Glasgow – plant-based cake producer Rawnchy, healthy chocolate maker Rebel Chocolate and Hawkhead Kitchen, for whisky smoked cashew nuts. A further contract has been given to Jarvis Pickle, the Eyemouthbased handcrafted pie maker.

Jointownerandrewduncan said: “We took over the business last year and part of our strategy to refresh it was to overhaul our suppliers.

“This trade show was a great opportunity to assess what is available in the Scottish market and to start dealing with innovative speciality brands that will appeal to our customers,” he added.
