St Mirren Crowning irony

There’s a sweet level of irony that Morton could contribute to us finally being crowned champions on Saturday. As we head up to Brechin in our thousands, expectant of a win, our neighbours and rivals could win us the league if they take anything from Livingston.

It’s great for us fans who have attended games all season. Our core away support, made up of a number of travel clubs, deserve the biggest plaudits, as they’ve never turned their back on our team, even last season when we were bottom and heading for League 1. The next few home games will undoubtedly see fair-weather fans flocking to get a glimpse of the champions. I only hope they like what they see and buy season tickets for the big league next term.
