Queen of the South Consistently inconsistent

There have been a lot of false dawns in our playoffs quest this season. The indifferent form of our rivals has meant our poor results haven’t really been punished, and one good result has been enough to get us back in contention.

Relying on your opponents’ mistakes will only get you so far though, and whilst Morton and Dunfermline have hit form at the right time we have maintained our habit of being consistently inconsistent. Defeat by the Pars on Saturday was followed up by an unhelpful point against Falkirk on Tuesday night. This leaves us six points off fourth with four games left. The reality is we don’t deserve to finish in the top four. Inevitably, questions will now start being asked of the management team.
