Jools Holland to open Jazz Festival

Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra have been confirmed as the opening act of this year’s Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival.

The festival will be held from 13-22 July, with the musician and TV presenter performing at the Festival Theatre on the opening night.

He will be joined by regular guests Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Rosie Mae on vocals, and special guest Marc Almond.

The 21-piece Bratislava Hot Serenaders will appear at the same venue on 18 July.
