Biker killed in crash with car on rural route

A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a car north of Perth.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the A823 between Coupar, Angus, and Blairgowrie at 5:25pm on Thursday.

The 32-year-old biker, who was on a green Kawasaki motorcycle, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.

His next of kin have been made aware, but Police Scotland said formal identification had yet to take place. Police are now appealing for witnesses or for anyone who may have seen the biker on the road before the incident.
