Brown: Davies is ‘cowardly’

Scott Brown has branded Andrew Davies “cowardly” and claimed he would have been handed an extended ban had he made the same challenge on the Ross County captain.

Davies was sent off for a lunge at the Celtic captain during County’s 3-0 defeat last Saturday. He is now serving a two-match ban.

“It’s part and parcel of the game, going in for a tackle, but to do it as cowardly as that isn’t great,” Brown said. “Let’s be honest – if that was me doing that I’m getting a solid five-game ban.”
