It’s official – death is no barrier to touring in these never healthier times for “live” music. The sublime voice and unlikely person of the Big O is set to move among us again in hologram form, 30 years after his death, backed by a full orchestra (of real musicians, just to be clear). The technology has already been used to bring rapper Tupac back from the dead but a closer comparison will be with the Elvis tours where his old band played along with footage of the King. There’s no denying that this is an intriguing concert proposition – but do spare a thought for all those living musicians out there looking for an audience...
